1、whether 和if 引导的宾语从句，表示“是否”，常放在动词know,ask,wonder等词后。如：I don't know if/whether you are right. 我不知道你是否正确。
2、下列情况只能用whether。(1)在介词(in ,on , at ,about 等词)之后如：I am i荏鱿胫协nterested in whether she likes English. 我感兴趣的是她是否喜欢英语。(2)在不定式( to+动词原形)前如：He hasn't decided whether to visitthe man. 他尚未决定是否去拜访那个人。(3)whether与or not 连用如：I don't know whether you are right or not. 我不知道你对不对。(4)用if会引起歧义如：Please tell me if you like the book.这句话可理解为两种意思：如果你喜欢这本书，请告诉我。请告诉我你是否喜欢这本书。
